I am a lifelong art lover who discovered painting after I moved to this beautiful place. I'm originally from upstate New York. My life before Cape Cod included degrees in psychology and public administration and nearly 30 years as an administrator for a public pension fund.
I'm a juried Artist Member of the Cape Cod Art Center and feel fortunate to have won numerous awards in their shows, including two "People's Choice" awards in open juried exhibits. I'm also a member of the Falmouth Artists Guild, Yarmouth Art Guild, South Cape Artists, Sandwich Arts Alliance and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. My work has been exhibited at venues throughout Cape Cod and may currently be seen at:
To Collectors of my Provincetown Art:
Thank you for your support and kind words over the years. Sadly, Impulse Art Gallery on Commercial Street closed in December, 2019. However, I am happy to announce my Provincetown art will continue to be available at Larkin Gallery, 405 Commercial Street and at Sarah Jessica Fine Arts, 342 Commercial Street.
Please visit these wonderful galleries to find my newest Provincetown paintings.
Regards,
Candice

I have been painting since 2004 and studied with several noted Cape Cod artists. I have worked in watercolor, pastel and oil but my preferred medium is acrylic.
My love of Cape Cod began a very long time ago. My love of painting is more recent. For me, the two are now forever linked.
For years I have explored this wonderful place by car, bicycle, and on foot. I am always intrigued by the small, less traveled places - little paths, walkways and beaches off-season. Another favorite is the charming architecture of Provincetown. So many of P'town's enchanting buildings have a story to tell. My imagination is captured by the beauty of these scenes and the exquisite light and shadow found only on the Cape. These are the things I want to paint.
I hope, through my art, you will find a joyful connection to Cape Cod.
